Day 469

Wednesday, March 18, 2020 -

“I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances” (Ezekiel 36:25-27).

This week I have truly witnessed this happen in the life of “W” (see March 15 and 17 entries). He is a completely different person fully surrendered to God, forgiven of all of his sins through the blood of Jesus, cleansed of his filthiness with a new heart. He has such a desire to not only please the Lord out of sheer love and devotion but is telling all who knew him what happened. I really believe and am praying this is a major breakthrough in our unit, maybe our prison, and that a revival may spark that cannot be stopped!

This is how it should be, everything changes! II Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Galatians 6:15 reiterates this, calling us a “new creation.” Seeing such a dramatic conversion makes the 15 ½ months being here in prison very worth it! When I shared this with “W” this evening, the glow on his face became even brighter. He knows the truth and has a completely new heart, and it is VERY evident!
