Day 476

Wednesday, March 25, 2020 -

Today I was handed an article which stated, “Until very recently, we lacked the sophisticated equipment needed to accurately measure cosmic expansion. But, modern technological advances have finally provided an answer. The universe is not only expanding without any hint of deceleration – it is actually expanding further and faster! This is not what modern science anticipated!

“No, the latest buzzwords have become ‘dark energy’ and ‘dark matter’ – a thinly veiled code to communicate the reality that there must be something out there that we cannot see or measure. There is no other way to explain how the universe would be expanding at an accelerating rate.”

In Proverbs 25:2 we read, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter.” Indeed, God’s wisdom is a mystery to us, His hidden wisdom (I Corinthians 2:7). Yet the supposed wise man of modern times who dismisses the concept of a Creator Who cannot be seen nor measured is not stating openly that there is “dark matter” that cannot be measured or seen. Nor can they tell us what holds matter together, yet Scripture tells us it is God!

Herein lies the mystery of faith (I Tim. 3:9). To let go of our own wisdom is where faith steps up. If we knew all things, where would that leave faith?
